In the first year of Meiji (1868), Japan decided to mint new currency according to the styles of Europe and America, changing the monetary units from the original 'ryō' and 'mon' to 'yen,' 'sen,' and 'rin.' However, until the second year of Meiji (1869), the issued currency was still of the old style. In the fourth year of Meiji (1871), Japan officially confirmed the style of the new coins. The earliest twenty sen coin is the Rising Sun Dragon twenty sen silver coin, with the year mark of 'Meiji Year 3' and 'Meiji Year 4,' both issued in the fourth year of Meiji (1871). The design of this coin is the same as that of the one yen coin and is a beautifully designed silver coin. This silver coin is in excellent condition and is a rare substitute silver coin; collectors who appreciate it shouldn't miss out. * Duty and taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the buyer * Duty and taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the buyer *I don't accept a negative rating for the reason that a guest has to pay taxes to their own country, because the taxes are not paid to me. * For more information, please check the ACCA official website * If you are still bidding in the store, you can tell me to send it later. * For guests from Italy 、Netherlandsand Portugal, please note that it usually takes a long time for package delivery to Italy and Portugal, especially Netherlands,so please be patient or consider providing me with an address in another country Thank you and good luck!
