Magnificent, large Victorian inkwell crafted in 925/1000 sterling silver with exceptional openwork gallery and refined sculptural detailing. This impressive writing piece was created in Sheffield, England, in 1844 by the renowned silversmiths Henry Wilkinson & Co. (1839–1856)—one of the leading makers of high-quality Victorian silver.
The inkwell features two crystal ink bottles with silver mounts and a central pierced basket (originally attached with three screws; one screw missing, as shown in the final image). The silver pen included is 800 silver and not original to the set.
