You are bidding on a very fine and rare 1/2 violin, labeled Enrico Politi fecit Roma anno 1921. The instrument is in good condition with some tears and wears and small repaired cracks.
The violin has an excellent high grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of softly flamed maple with matched sides and scroll. The purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. The whole length of the violin is 517 mm and the back 311 mm.
