This is the first French edition of the most important work by Italian surgeon Giovanni Ambrogio Bertrandi, translated by M. Solier de la Romillais and published in Paris in 1769. It was a popular and important surgical textbook of its time and was long considered a reference work for aspiring surgeons. It deals with the fundamentals of surgery, based on the mechanics of human organs and established theory and practice. Title: Traité des opérations de chirurgie (Treatise on Surgical Operations).
