Fossil tand - Spinosaurus - 5.3 cm (Ingen mindstepris)
→5.3 cm long x 1.8 cm wide at the widest point Spinosaurus teeth
It is a very beautiful, deep colored medium sized teeth of the legendary Spinosaurus.
As can be seen in the photos, it has dark brown colored crown with the light colored root. Around the root region there are dark purple-maroon coloration areas. One of the characteristic feature of Spinosaurus teeth is the presence of flutes in the teeth which is basically the longitudinal grooves. In this teeth the flute is very prominent and combined with the shape of the teeth, this teeth bears some interesting resemblance to a carcharodontosaurus teeth . Although, technically carcharodontosaurus teeth were meant for cutting and ripping flesh while Spinosaurus teeth were meant to firmly hold onto aquatic creatures like fish most of the time.
Due to fossilization conditions or usage perhaps, the top of the teeth is slightly bent. The teeth is naturally conserved with natural shine as well.
Overall, its a beautiful specimen.
