Amazing Pressed box - Collection Perlička by master Adolf Matura (1921-1979) He studied at VŠUP with prof. She pinched. Adolf Matura is of great importance in the development of Czechoslovak pressed glass. Matura was primarily a glass artist. At the beginning of his career, he worked on engraved glass in Železny Brod. Later with the design of table and additional glass. In the mid-sixties, he started working on pressed glass. His work is linked to robust shapes, pearl decor and figural motifs. From the beginning, his proposals are modest and simple. Later, he adds an ornamental and structural form to the work. He became famous for the iconic Prague set with pearl decor, which is based on the wave of decorativism in the seventies. Matur was close to figurative art. Among his designs is one of the finest vases, the double-faced vase, which is highly prized by collectors of pressed glass.
