For sale is, a Belcanto designed, art-deco mantel clock, from West-Germany. The movement supplied by Hugo Hettich, originating from Schramberg and established in 1888.
A rich, dark wood-veneered and lacquered case with a curved top for the clock face and extended sides with decorative brass scrollwork, ending with fleur-de-lis symbols.
A domed glass door covers the face of the clock.
The back door has a rotating, locking tab.
The movement is regulated by a pattented Schwebe anker, known as floating balance. The clock is an 8-day running type and has no chiming mechanism.
The winding key is also included.
