Medieval Bronze Ring with Shield-Shaped Bezel – AD 1000 to 1400 – 22x19 mm – 6.27 g
This elegant bronze ring displays a shield-shaped bezel, a form associated with heraldic symbolism and medieval identity. The surface of the bezel is worn smooth, possibly due to long-term use or intentional polishing, while the shoulders curve gently into a slender band, characteristic of rings worn by individuals of modest to middle rank during the Middle Ages.
Although devoid of visible inscription or engraving, the form and proportions suggest it may have once borne a family crest or emblem used for personal identification. The olive-green patina indicates its authenticity and historical provenance.
