Punkt 116. Islamisk Bronze Ring - Middelalderen 10.-14. århundrede e.Kr. (Ingen mindstepris)
Medieval Bronze Ring – AD 1000 to 1400 – 22x19 mm – 3.54 g
This finely preserved medieval ring features a flat oval bezel with engraved linear patterns, possibly symbolic or decorative in function. The shoulders are subtly decorated and merge into a rounded hoop with slight deformation due to burial or prolonged use. The ring’s proportions and style suggest personal adornment, likely worn by a member of the lower nobility or merchant class.
Its compact form and engraved bezel could indicate its use as a simple signet or personal token during the High to Late Middle Ages. The greenish patina is stable and well-developed, confirming its authenticity and long-term burial.
