We restored this Panerai PAM 00390 with certain limitations. At the time of restoration, our supplier did not have an ETA 6497 / OP calibre available, so we installed a Swiss ETA 6498 movement instead. The main difference between ETA 6497 and ETA 6498 is the position of the small seconds. As this model does not have a seconds hand, the decision was made to use the ETA 6498. The dial was intentionally left untouched. Our watchmaker chose not to intervene or cosmetically alter the dial in order to preserve its originality and honest condition. The original hands were successfully restored and reused. The main case and case back (made partial reengraving) as usual was restored by us to a good visual condition. To improve the overall visual appearance, we added an original rubber strap and buckle, purchased from an independent supplier, and included our branded presentation box.
