Omega - De Ville Dynamic - Ingen mindstepris - Mænd - 1970-1979
The first Omega 'Dynamic' was created for the Prix de Ville de Genève in 1965 and launched to the public in 1968. The name, Dynamic, refers to the shape of the case, which was the result of an in-depth study of the anatomy of the wrist. It was one of the first watches to be designed in a way where the timepiece would follow the silhouette of the wrist and fit like a glove.
The present example is a stunning 1970s Omega (nicknamed "The UFO") with a real retro aesthetic, featuring a stunning tiger's eye brown dial that glints a warm amber colour in the right light.
The oval case and smooth lines make for really comfortable wear, which of course was the aim of the design. It also has really substantial proportions (40mm) which gives it a nice presence on the wrist. The slim hands in brilliant white really pop from the brown and the day/date aperture completes a really stylish dial which is encapsulated in a stainless case with an Omega signed crown and the De Ville signature engraved on the caseback. The watch head is paired with an original stylish Omega calf leather strap in brown, although in contrast to the case, the Omega buckle is gold-coloured.
The watch has been fully serviced (cleaned, the crystal polished and functionalities checked) by an Omega-certified watchmaker ("The Hands of Time", based in Voorburg/The Hague) and comes with a 12-month warranty (see photo of receipt). Hence, the watch is in mint condition and running perfectly. Comes in a generic box.
