A few restorations are present. The stand has been designed and built by an industrial designer to highlight the ammonite. The stand is a unique piece, adapted to this ammonite only, and is included in the sale. Photos 5 and 6: Ammonites are an important source of income for the inhabitants of small villages in Madagascar, as their main revenue arise from the cultivation of rice and small red peppers. Purchasing one of these ammonites helps the villagers in sustaining their "production" and exportations.
