Anatolian Bronze Trilobate Arrowhead Group (10) (Ingen mindstepris)
A collection of bronze Anatolian trilobate arrowheads, with varying shapes and sizes. Each arrowhead features a rounded socket with three protruding blades, joining to form a sharp point. The socket was used to attach the wooden shaft of the arrow. Signs of wear as consistent with age, such as chips and scratches to the edges, blades and sockets. Large chips to the edges of some blades and barbs. Patina and some earthly encrustations to the surface as well as inside the sockets.
Arrowheads of this type have been recovered across all the Anatolian and North Euphrates region. Anatolia, also known in antiquity as Asia Minor, was located in the Anatolian Peninsula. It is one of the first regions to have boasted bronze production. The Iron Age of Anatolia marked the rise of classical civilisation, when Syro-Hittite culture rose and took over the former Hittite Empire.
