The handle features a sophisticated Louis XVI style design. The front of the terminal is decorated with a fine engine-turned (guilloché) background, centered by a vacant oval cartouche draped with acanthus leaves and laurel wreaths. The reverse side is fully decorated with matching engine-turning, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship typical of high-end Parisian silver of this era.
