Part of the Erosione collection, this sculptural form explores the silent transformation of matter through time, pressure, and elemental forces. Its biomorphic silhouette appears almost weathered by wind — a soft geological presence suspended between erosion and growth.

Entirely hand-modelled using a cream stoneware body enriched with 45% chamotte, the piece embraces rough tactility and material honesty. The high concentration of grog creates a sandy, mineral-rich surface that remains visible even after sanding, allowing the sculpture to retain its raw earthy vibration and tactile depth.

Every curve is shaped slowly by hand. The porous skin catches light softly, revealing subtle irregularities and traces of gesture — evidence of a process rooted in slowness, resistance, and direct contact with the material. Its open central void creates a dynamic dialogue between mass and emptiness, making the sculpture feel simultaneously monolithic and lightweight, primitive and contemporary.
