Jaeger Barometer model 7.A.B
Made in the 40s by the prestigious manufacturer Jaeger (which later became Jaeger Lecoultre)
Can be calibrated by pivoting a wheel on the back of the thermometer; that wheel is turned to the altitude of the location
It also features a thermometer function
This model is an earlier one: it dates from the 40s; there are also models from the 50s and 60s, but they have a brass base
The base is made of black Bakelite
2 beveled glass plates fixed on a brass ring
The inscriptions are printed on the inside of the glass, which limits wear over time
Both the barometer and thermometer seem to be working fine, although not fully tested
Excellent condition, functional
Please note you may find some traces of use / time related wear / dust - please see photos; this is a 80 years old object
Superb instrument and decorative object from an illustrious brand of world-renowned precision objects
Total height: 18 cm
Height of the base: 1.5 cm
Diameter of the base: 8 cm
Diameter of the hoop: 17 cm
Weight: 550 g
1940 circa
