Beskrivelse fra sælger
The Velvet Underground & Nico (3) – The Velvet Underground & Nico
There are 3 versions of the back cover of the original American release, this is the 3rd version.
- 1st - has an image of actor Eric Emerson projected upside-down on the wall behind the band. Commonly known as
the "Torso" cover (despite showing only Emerson's head and arms), this variant is also referred to as “first state” or the “Emerson Cover.”
- 2nd - exact same cover printing as above, but the actor's image is covered by a large black sticker. This is called the
"lawsuit sticker" cover.
- 3rd - the actor's image is airbrushed out.

The LP plays really well. You can hear the odd crackle here and there during the first track on each side, but that’s to be expected from a 60-year-old LP.
I have captured the slight scratches on the record in the last four photos attached (incidentally, these are all on side B). The superficial scratches scattered here and there on the LP (see photos) do not affect the playback quality of this LP in any way! These scratches are mainly on side B, and I can assure you that they do not affect any of the individual tracks! Side A is almost NM condition, apart from a small spot on this side. I have given the LP a conservative rating, but as with the sleeve, I would actually rate it as ‘Excellent’ (especially given the LP’s age).
The sleeve shows the usual signs of ageing for its age. This is to be expected, as this LP has clearly been well-loved. I have graded the condition of the sleeve as VG+, but given the age and fragility of the LP, I would actually consider it to be in Excellent condition.
