Beskrivelse fra sælger
Matsukasamakie Matsukinrinji 松笠蒔絵 松金輪寺 (まつかさまきえ まつきんりんじ) | Minowa Issei 蓑輪一星 (みのわいっせい)
A "Kinrinji" is a type of tea caddy featuring an "Okibuta" (placed lid) where the diameter of the lid is slightly larger than the body. This work uses pine wood, which is very rare as a material, for the body. After hollowing out the raw wood, layers of lacquer are applied to finish it while preserving the texture of the pine wood. On the lid, pine cones, "Matsukasa," are depicted in maki-e, and raden (mother-of-pearl) is inlaid at the base of the pine needles. The lid is cut to match the natural shape of the body, so it is not a perfect circle. It is a work that aggregates the difficulty of materials, manual techniques to match deformation, and complex decorative techniques.
