This limited-edition silkscreen print *Twilight Floral* is part of INOUE Kozo’s (井上公三) iconic *Soir (Dusk)* series, produced in the early 1980s (1980–1983). INOUE Kozo is an internationally celebrated Japanese master of serigraph printmaking. He perfected the delicate multi-layer soft gradient colour printing technique in the late 1970s, and his signature style combines muted gradient dusk backgrounds with minimalist natural silhouettes.

The artwork features a seamless gradient twilight sky blended with lavender, blush pink and warm golden orange hues, centred by a large softly toned full moon. Two stylized flower silhouettes are placed in the foreground, with petals and leaves rendered in flat muted grey and pale lilac. This minimalist flat composition creates an ethereal, tranquil dusk atmosphere, combining traditional Japanese mono-no-aware poetic aesthetics with contemporary silkscreen craft.

Made with precise multi-colour layered silkscreen printing, all colour gradients shift evenly without abrupt breaks. Every printed shape has crisp, clean edges, and fine layered printing perfectly recreates the dreamlike sunset vision conceived by the artist.

The handwritten pencil edition mark “100/300” is located on the lower left margin, meaning this impression is the 100th piece from a total limited run of 300. The artist’s authentic original pencil signature can be found at the bottom right corner of the sheet.

Consistent with its age, the artwork has slight natural oxidation, tiny surface scratches and leftover traces from past framing. Overall condition is good relative to its production era.
