Beskrivelse: En smuk og karakteristisk håndlavet etnisk sølvarmbånd oprindeligt fra Rajasthan-regionen i Indien. Denne type smykke blev lavet omkring midten af det 20. århundrede (ca. 1950–1970), ofte rettet mod den tidlige eksport- og samlermarked. Armbåndet består af flere fleksible, fint vævede sølvråd-strenge, der samles i smukt udsmykkede sølv endestykker med florale motiver. Det centrale lås er for- på forsiden udskåret med billedet af en hellig fisk (Matsya), et vigtigt beskyttende symbol i hinduisme ( Vishnus første avatar). Armbåndet lukkes ved hjælp af en traditionel, snedig skru- eller pin-luk mekanisme. Da smykket ikke har moderne vestlige stempler, er det blevet gennemført magnettest for at udelukke tilstedeværelsen af en jernkerne. The bracelet features multiple flexible, finely woven strands of silver wire that gather into beautifully detailed silver end pieces adorned with floral motifs. The central clasp is engraved on the front with the image of a sacred fish (Matsya), an important protective symbol in Hinduism representing the first avatar of the god Vishnu. The bracelet closes securely with a traditional and clever screw or pin-lock mechanism. Since this item does not feature modern Western hallmarks, it has been successfully subjected to a magnet test to exclude the presence of an iron core. This type of traditional Indian jewelry typically features a continental or lower silver content (ranging between .600 and .925 sterling silver).
