The Yashica Electro 35, introduced in 1966, is one of the most beloved 35mm rangefinder cameras ever made. Its fast Color-Yashinon 45mm f/1.7 lens and aperture-priority automatic exposure (with a stepless electronic shutter) made it famous for low-light shooting — earning the nickname "the candid camera." A battery is required for the electronic shutter.
Important — please read carefully:
This camera powers on and the meter responds, and the shutter-chamber seals have been renewed, but please note: the self-timer is sticky and the battery-check lamp does not light (battery-chamber contacts cleaned/polished). It uses a 5.6V mercury-type battery (modern replacement recommended). The lens is very clean. Please review the photos and consider this before bidding.
