Beskrivelse fra sælger
There's a moment right before a love song begins — when two people lean in, and the room goes quiet. That's the moment Corina Dinu has frozen in Golden Duet: two profiles caught in cubist fragments of magenta, burgundy and ivory, one figure cradling a stringed instrument as the last note fades into gold.
The gold isn't painted flat — it's hand-applied leaf, catching real light across buttons, tassels, and the curve of the instrument's neck, giving the surface a texture and warmth that shifts as you walk past it. The influence of Klimt's gilded intimacy is unmistakable, but reworked through a bolder, more architectural cubist structure that makes the piece feel less like homage and more like its own language.
Corina Dinu (b. 1979, Romanian) trained in Fine Arts and at Istituto Marangoni, with previous sales through Tate Gallery London, Rippingham Art Gallery London, Saatchi Art, and Catawiki. This is a large-scale piece — full canvas 160 x 98 cm, image 147 x 88 cm — acrylic on canvas, signed on the verso, unique (1/1), in excellent condition with no restorations. A Certificate of Authenticity is included, and it will ship unframed, rolled in a rigid protective tube, fully insured and tracked.
