Abdullah at-Khadim - Qur'an. India - 1616

Dette blad er fra den hellige bog nedskrevet af Abdullah at-Khadim i AD1616. Det er i god stand. Formatet er meget typisk for et sultanat-Indien Koran fra den tidlige periode med omfattende overskrifter og stor skrift i fin hånd. I dette tilfælde er der tre store overskrifter i Muhaqqaq, der opdeler de to sektioner af skriften. Det tiltrækkende mandelformede marginalsymbol markerer det 20. vers i kapitlet.

Bladet indeholder skrift fra Surah Al-Hadid (Jern), kapitel 57, v:19-21. Disse vers definerer de sande forhold for trofaste troende, afslører den midlertidige og illusoriske natur af verdsligt liv og opfordrer menneskeheden til at konkurrere om evig guddommelig tilgivelse og den vidtgående belønning af Paradis.
