Beskrivelse fra sælger
Introduction
The Hermes Clipper is one of the most recognisable sport-chic timepieces from the legendary Parisian maison. Inspired by the porthole of a sailing ship, the Clipper collection debuted in the early 1980s and quickly became a symbol of understated elegance, combining Hermes's leather-goods heritage with authentic Swiss watchmaking. This two-tone ladies' example beautifully embodies the refined aesthetic that has made the Clipper a favourite among Hermes collectors worldwide.
Historical & Collector Value
Designed by Henri d'Origny in 1981, the Clipper series marked Hermes's entry into serious wristwatch manufacturing. The distinctive screw-set bezel, inspired by nautical portholes, and the iconic H-link bracelet make this reference instantly recognisable. Early two-tone examples like this one are increasingly sought after by collectors as vintage Hermes watches gain recognition for their design integrity and connection to the house's storied history. The signature H-motif bracelet in gold-plated and stainless steel remains one of the most emblematic bracelet designs in ladies' watchmaking.
