A beautiful and highly collectible set of two original abstract paintings by the renowned Portuguese visual artist Pedro Freitas (1953-2016), son of the celebrated sculptor Silva Freitas.

Each artwork is individually hand-signed, titled, and specified as "Papel" (paper) by the artist on the lower margin. The first piece represents Lisbon's historic old quarter, "Casarios", while the second piece is a poetic urban nocturnal view titled "O Luar na Cidade" (Moonlight in the City).

These pieces masterfully combine a dense constructivist architectural layout with gestural abstraction. The artist uses a sophisticated palette of earth tones, terracottas, and deep structural lines to depict the unique essence and tightly packed house facades of Lisbon.
