Beskrivelse fra sælger

● Original Mixed Media Artwork. Unique Edition. Canvas print individually hand-finished with a red Grog squeezer marker and red spray paint. The artwork receives a final protective matte varnish and is presented in a vintage solid wood frame with an ornate gold finish. Dimensions: 34 x 44 cm. and 2 cm. depth, with a 3 cm. wide frame.

The artwork combines a contemporary digital collage with a physical artistic intervention, transforming the printed canvas into a unique mixed-media composition. The piece is individually finished by hand, making a distinctive variation within the original edition. The final matte varnish provides a protective layer, reduces reflections and helps preserve the surface of the artwork over time. The restored vintage frame forms an integral part of the composition, reinforcing the dialogue between classical painting and contemporary urban expression.
As an original vintage frame, it retains subtle signs of age in some corners, barely perceptible and requiring close observation to be noticed.

The artwork is individually signed on the reverse and accompanied by a physical certificate of authenticity.

“WHO IS WHO?” reinterprets the iconic Tardis and the universe of the emblematic British science-fiction series Doctor Who, placing its unmistakable blue police box within an atmospheric landscape inspired by the Romantic landscape tradition of the 19th century.

The classical-looking natural setting is interrupted by a bold red typographic intervention, executed in a spontaneous street-art language, creating a strong contrast between the historical image and contemporary urban expression.
The intervention introduces a playful reference to geek culture and pop imagery into an apparently traditional landscape, transforming the scene into an unexpected encounter between artistic heritage, science fiction and popular culture.

Through the combination of Romantic landscape, digital collage, graffiti aesthetics and popular culture, the artwork explores how familiar images can acquire new meanings when relocated into a contemporary visual language.

● About the Artist
Nando López (Barcelona) is the founder of Dikhotomy, an artistic project dedicated to exploring how images change meaning when they are relocated into new cultural contexts.
His work establishes connections between historical iconography, popular culture, everyday objects and visual memory, creating artworks that move between irony, visual appropriation and contemporary reinterpretation.
Through limited-edition prints, paintings, assemblages and object-based installations, he develops a visual universe in which the familiar appears altered, encouraging new perspectives on consumption, desire, identity and pop culture.
His work has been exhibited internationally and is also featured through various concept stores in Spain, France, Belgium and Norway. Among his recognitions are a solo exhibition at Gamla Kraftstationen Gallery (Sweden) and the publication of his illustration I Am Jesus as the cover image of Newsweek Polska in May 2024.
