A beautiful pair of cabinet-size Halite specimens from two very different and renowned localities.
The Telouet specimen, Morocco, displays a dense architecture of well-defined cubic crystals, with warm champagne to pale brown tones and attractive transparency. The overlapping cubes create a complex, almost architectural composition with plenty of depth.
In contrast, the Salar de Uyuni specimen, Bolivia, has a much brighter appearance, dominated by icy-white to translucent cubic crystals. Its clean colour and strongly geometric growth give it a remarkably crisp, almost frozen look.
Two specimens of the same mineral showing two completely different characters: warm, complex and earthy from Telouet; bright, pure and sculptural from Uyuni. An excellent pair for displaying the diversity of Halite crystallization.
