Elegant og scenografisk venetiansk alterbord af gammel dato, lavet i udhugget træ og kendetegnet ved en raffineret polykrom dekoration i nuancerne creme, beige og guld.

Bordet har en særdeles rig og bevægelig struktur, typisk for venetiansk barok og rokoko-smag, med buede cabriole-ben, endevipper i svirler og talrige ornamentale udskæringer. Frontens frise prydes af volutter, vegetative motiver og en markant centralt udskåret skålformet concha, mens bunden fuldendes af en elegant formet tvær bjælke og udskåret midterstykke.

Det rektangulære top har formede og forhøjede hjørner, en indgraveret dekorativ kant og en i hånden malet blomsterdekoration i midten, bestående af blomster og blade i nuancerne rød, rosa, blå, grøn og okker. Overfladen bevarer en smuk antik patina, med craquelure, slidesår og tidsmærker, der understreger dets autenticitet og historiske karakter.

ANTIQUE VENETIAN ALTAR TABLE IN CARVED, LACQUERED AND GILDED WOOD

Elegant and highly decorative antique Venetian altar table, made of carved wood and finished with refined polychrome decoration in cream, beige and gold tones.

The table features a particularly rich and dynamic structure, characteristic of the Venetian Baroque and Rococo taste, with curved cabriole legs, scroll-shaped feet and numerous carved ornamental details. The front apron is enriched with scrolling motifs, vegetal decorations and a prominent centrally carved shell ornament, while the lower structure is completed by an elegant shaped stretcher with a turned and carved central element.

The rectangular top has shaped and raised corners, an incised decorative border and a charming hand-painted floral decoration in the centre, depicting flowers and foliage in shades of red, pink, blue, green and ochre. The surface retains a beautiful antique patina, with craquelure, abrasions and signs of age which enhance its historical appearance and authenticity.
