Beskrivelse fra sælger
RIJKS, Masters of the Golden Age – Malerier fra Æresgalleriet
A spectacular and richly produced art book conceived and designed by internationally renowned Dutch designer Marcel Wanders, in collaboration with the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam.
Published in 2016 by VivaLetta and Uitgeverij Komma, this monumental publication celebrates the masterpieces from the Gallery of Honour of the Rijksmuseum.
The book contains magnificent large-format reproductions of masterpieces of the Dutch Golden Age, including works by Rembrandt van Rijn, Johannes Vermeer, Frans Hals, Jan Steen and other important Dutch masters.
What makes this publication particularly attractive is the combination of Old Master paintings with contemporary graphic design and elaborate calligraphy. Numerous details of the paintings are reproduced on a large scale, accompanied by specially commissioned texts, interviews and quotations.
Beautifully executed binding with extremely elaborate gold-coloured decoration to both boards and spine, gilt page edges and three ribbon markers in red, white and blue.
This copy is offered together with the matching wooden book stand/table shown in the photographs, making it particularly attractive for display.
