Thank you very much for viewing this uncommon Japanese medium-format folding camera.
Introduced in 1952, the Carl-6 Model II is a Japanese folding camera designed for 120 roll film. One of its distinctive features is its dual-format design, allowing both 6×6 and 6×4.5 photographs depending on the film setup.
The Model II was positioned above the Model I in shutter specification, with period documentation listing shutter speeds from 1 second to 1/200 second plus B. Its compact folding construction reflects the distinctive style of Japanese medium-format cameras produced during the early postwar period.
Today, the Carl-6 Model II is an interesting camera not only for traditional medium-format photography but also for collectors of lesser-known Japanese folding cameras.

The lens optics also show some fungus and haze.

Its combination of 120 film, dual 6×6 / 6×4.5 format capability, and folding construction makes it an interesting example of Japanese medium-format camera design from the early 1950s.
This example shows age-related wear and signs of use. The viewfinder and lens both show some fungus and haze, while a series of basic operating functions has been checked.
It is an appealing piece for collectors interested in uncommon Japanese cameras as well as photographers who enjoy the mechanical character of vintage folding equipment.
