Along with Oribe ware, it can be said to be a representative pottery of the Azuchi-Momoyama period. 赤志野 A white base is coated with iron clay such as a demon board, and the coating is then rubbed off with a spatula to reveal the white pattern. Feldspar glaze is then applied on top and the piece is fired red. When the amount of feldspar glaze is reduced, the surface becomes bright red. The style is full of boldness. Many of these tea bowls are similar to those often produced by recent artists. 志野
