E-Karatsu Matsubun stor tallerken - Keramik - Signed - Japan - Shōwa-periode (1926-1989)

Size: Dia31.5cm H8.5cm Weight 2KG It is a deep bowl with a gently curving rim, with a bush clover pattern on the inside and the flowers tinged red with ochre. The rim pattern is also interesting, and for a Shino bowl it is of excellent craftsmanship, with a smooth glaze applied all over. The tsuba and body are fitted with a mortar base, and there are circular legs on three sides of the base. It is an excellent piece that is rare among Shino bowls. *唐津焼  Karatsu is the general term for pottery produced in what is now eastern Saga and northern Nagasaki prefectures since the early modern period. There is a wide variety of Karatsu ware, from everyday utensils to tea utensils, and a wide range of styles and techniques are used. Tea bowls have long been known as “ Ichiraku, Hagi, and Karatsu. Together with its offshoot, Takeo Ko-Karatsu ware, it is designated as a traditionalJapanesecraft.
