Særdeles sjældent fossilisert Kauri-træ - 4,6 kg - Forstenet træ - 17 cm - 16.5 cm

A unique and extremely rare specimen of fossilized Kauri wood (Agathis sp.), originating from the North Island (Coromandel region) of New Zealand – the only region in the world where this species is naturally found. This substantial piece, weighing 4.6 kg, displays a stunning contrast between the preserved natural grain and a beautifully unpolished fossil surface, indicating advanced mineralization and petrification. Unlike the more common "Swamp Kauri" (30,000–50,000 years old), this piece dates back to the Miocene epoch (approx. 5–20 million years ago), making it significantly older and rarer. An extraordinay fossil with high collector appeal, suitable for: fossil collectors, geology and natural history enthusiasts or unique decorative display. This specimen was personally obtained from a local in New Zealand and has been carefully preserved since. Features -Weight: 4.6 kg -Dimensions: [insert exact dimensions, e.g. 17 x 16.5 x 17 cm] -Finish: Raw / unpolished -Origin: North Island, New Zealand -Age: Miocene (~5–20 million years old) -Condition: Excellent – no visible damage or repairs. Completely natural specimen. -Extremely rare and unique fossil It will be carefully packed and sent with track & trace. Pickup possible on request.
