VITYRA - 灰幻 - No Reserve

灰幻 Ink, charcoal, ochre and clay on canvas 140cm x 100cm (55 inches x 39 inches) 灰幻 (Kaigen) — translating from Japanese as “Ashen Illusion” — is a meditative and enigmatic work by contemporary artist VITYRA, known for his raw, elemental approach to materials and atmosphere. In 灰幻, sweeping layers of deep ink and earth-toned pigments blur the boundary between substance and shadow. The title evokes the vision of something once burning — vibrant and alive — now cooled into memory, cloaked in the soft, ghostlike residue of ash. But even in this imagined ruin, there is beauty: a dreamlike aftermath where destruction becomes poetic, and silence is not empty but profound. Each pigment used in this work — ink, charcoal, ochre, and clay — was hand-blended specifically for this piece. This unique mixture gives 灰幻 its velvety depths and organic textures. The canvas is crafted from 100% cotton of archival quality, ensuring longevity and preservation. VITYRA’s technique draws influence from Eastern minimalism and Western abstraction, but his voice is unmistakably his own — quiet, primal, and emotionally resonant. 灰幻 invites viewers to stand still and contemplate the nature of impermanence, transition, and the silent echoes left behind by what once was. This original painting by VITYRA is discreetly hand-signed on the reverse side to preserve the purity of the artwork’s surface and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. VITYRA is represented by S-Gallery, a well-known gallery for Viennese boundary-pushing contemporary artists. The artwork will be shipped rolled in a secure, protective tube—an eco-friendly and safe method that reduces shipping costs and risk of damage. The canvas measures 140 x 100 cm, with an extra 5 cm border on each side for easy re-stretching. Frame placement is lightly marked on the back to assist precise mounting.
