A Hollywood Regency style mid century pair of table lamps from Massive, Belgium c.1980-90’s. Each base has a square black and brass base and a metal brassed urn with palm leaves or reeds on top. Massive was originally a bronze foundry and they produced mainly candlesticks, crucifixes and chandeliers in Wilrijk near Antwerp, Belgium. The company was founded in 1926 by Pieter-Jozef De Jaeck. In the 1980s Massive became a leading lighting brand in Europe. The lamps work with E27 fitting ( the normal fitting) they have a switch on and off button and a European standard plug. They are in good condition overall with some signs of ageing on the brass of one of the two lamp base. Please check the ohotos. The lampshades are in very good condition , black velvety fabric.
