It turns out there is also science behind this, as quartz would purify the water and give it a uniquely pleasant flavor. According to mayan lore, these gods lived in maize and cacao fields, as these were regarded as the most sacred gifts of the earth. At the beginning of every harvest season, the maya would hold an enchanting feast full of rich treats off chocolate and corn in gratitude to the Aluxes. Now, as their gift for these guardian gods, the Cihuatan master blender has crafter this special Limited Edition rum.
