The story of this pen begins a few years ago when one of my professors gifted it to me for my design studies and it was also one of the first in my collection. This one hasn't been used and is virtually in factory condition so the only work I needed to do is lubricate it properly since the factory lubricants have dried out faster due to it sitting unused. This is a beautiful burgundy 14K gold nib Montblanc Meisterstück piston pen. This outstanding pen stands out with its special intarsia nib, specific to a few production years in the 1960s, and with its color, also specific only to vintage Montblanc stock, the color being extinct since the 90s. Vintage pen expert love these pens since this configuration was a design experiment in Montblanc's philosophy. The pen mechanism was inspected and it is propelling and intaking ink correctly, along with being esthetically complete. According to the MB catalogues of the 60s, the nib is fine (F class) and of intarsia type.
