Architectonic Plate merges precision and decay — a composition that seems drawn, yet is in fact scratched and speckled into layers of off-white pigment. Its network of circles, grids, and intersecting lines evokes the logic of architectural plans, while the irregular surface speaks of erosion, time, and process. His practice spans from early Pollock-inspired action paintings to precise geometric compositions, and to the layered, scratched surfaces he often explores today. In his current work, MiLo investigates the tension between construction and erosion, layering and scraping the painted surface until traces emerge.
