Kabinet - Kolonnenkast, et såkaldt 'kolommenkast' fra midten af 1600-tallet. - Egetræ

Beautiful Column cabinet from the mid-17th century. Named after the heavy half columns that you see in the middle and along the sides. This design is derived from classical Greek and Roman temple construction. Beautifully detailed fluting and joints in the columns. Beautiful bases underneath. In fact, such a cabinet is a reflection of classical architecture in wood. This cabinet only got these ball feet in the 18th century. At that time, this was an innovation and people thought that it was meant to be that way. Before that, this piece of furniture had 'klos' legs - a continuation of what you see above the ball feet. The oak is quarter-sawn, which is why it has that striking grain structure. Underneath a wide drawer that is fully incorporated into the design. The hood has that far-protruding flat horizontal edge that is typical of early 17th century Dutch cabinets. Inside two original shelves. The lock (see photo) is original. Transportation: In the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, France and Spain, we transport the furniture in packing blankets and store it indoors. The rest land on a wooden pallet in sturdy cardboard and splash-proof foil and delivered to the front door. We charge a higher rate for islands, delivery is to the door, please help because the driver is alone, the driver is not allowed inside or up the stairs. The carrier will contact you to deliver. He has your telephone number and email address. >>> These transports usually do not have a track and trace system. I am entering an empty code for Catawiki's computer system. You cannot track the transport. Take photos of the packaging upon receipt to rule out damage during transport. Usually it is not possible to ship within three days, you can ignore Catawiki's reminders. It is usually between three and seven days in transit. You approve and sign for good reception with the driver. You must report any damage immediately in this form. This is necessary for insurance. Damage that occurs afterwards is your own responsibility. An 'empty' form means good reception. The carrier will call you to make an appointment for delivery. You are free to arrange the transport yourself, please indicate this when paying to Catawiki. For countries outside Europe you will have to pay additional customs fees and there will be additional expenses for customs clearance and administration. For countries outside Europe I indicate one amount for convenience, but amounts may vary. I am happy to inform you. Please contact me.
