The instrument is in ready to play condition with no cracks, new master made bridge, finest rosewood set up and new strings. The violin has an excellent straight high grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of strongly narrow flamed maple. Matched sides and scroll. The purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. Rich amber varnish over golden ground shows an amazing wooden choice. The whole length of the violin is 589 mm and the back 356 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 165 mm; middle bouts: 111 mm; lower bouts: 206 mm. The sound is very good, suitable for soloist.
