The Macallan Edition series continues with the 5th release, and this one is all about the natural colour of the whisky! Celebrating the natural colour of the whisky, imparted by its time maturing in oak casks, Macallan teamed up with Pantone to create a rather fetching shade of purple which features on the label and presentation box. Very snazzy stuff. Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt Nose Toffee apple, poached pair, savoury hints of sage. Flashes of clean citrus notes. Palate Nuttier on the palate, with walnut and macadamia nut appearing as it opens. Continues on to orchard fruits, honeycomb and a kick of oaky black pepper. Finish Butterscotch, cedar and lemon.
