5 new, but old pure linen tea towels with 2 blood red vertical borders
and L.D.. initials.
Dozens of these perfect tea towels would be purchased in the late
19th Century and the moment they came of the weaving loom they
disappeared in the large pantry kitchen cupboard to serve the staff.
These tea towels still have the starch in them and we would advise
to put them in hot water for a while and then wash. at 60 degrees.
They will gradually get softer and ideal for polishing glassware.
The initials J.P. are hand embroidered in single petit point stitch.
PLEASE NOTE:
there are 4 tea towels with L.D. initials and one plain tea towel.
