Ungt kurog (ringmærket) Taksidermi fuld kropsmontering - Cuculus canorus - 29 cm - 28 cm - 10 cm

Juvenile Cuckoo – High-End Quality Taxidermy In Excellent Condition – No Reserve A beautifully preserved juvenile cuckoo (Cuculus canorus), mounted in the late 1970s to early 1980s by the respected Dutch taxidermist R. Knol in Sint-Maartensdijk (Netherlands). Prepared fully in accordance with the 1936 Bird Act, making it both legal and professionally executed. Mounted on a textured wooden base, this vintage piece displays the elegant young-bird plumage — warm brown tones, delicate light barring, and the characteristic vigilant posture that defines the species. The specimen bears an original metal bird ring from the 1970s–1980s. Rings from this period typically included: • the ringing organisation or breeder association • a station or breeder code • year of issue • individual identification number These coded rings were used for research, tracking migration patterns and verifying origin. Such juvenile cuckoos are rarely encountered — especially in this well-preserved condition. Dimensions: app 29 × 28 × 10 cm (h × w × d) Period: Late 1970s – early 1980s Species: Juvenile Common Cuckoo (Cuculus canorus) Taxidermist: R. Knol, Sint-Maartensdijk Condition: In excellent vintage condition with stable mounting, intact plumage and a classic naturalistic pedestal. Please review all photos for a precise impression. Historical Context: During the 1970s–80s, Dutch natural-history collections flourished, with specialist taxidermists like R. Knol producing educational mounts for schools, museums and private collectors. The cuckoo — famous for its brood-parasitic behaviour — has long been a favourite species among ornithologists, making juvenile specimens particularly desirable and uncommon in private collections. Shipping: Will be packed with care and shipped with tracking.
