Girard-Perregaux - inne - Ingen mindstepris - Mænd - 1972

Vintage Girard-Perregaux 352 quartz wristwatch, produced circa early 1970s, featuring one of the first Swiss analog quartz movements with a groundbreaking frequency of 32,768 Hz. This movement, the GP Caliber 352, integrated a Motorola chipset with about 300 transistors in a compact area, enabling unprecedented accuracy and battery life, setting the industry standard for decades to come. Its precision surpassed previous electronic watches by a wide margin, achieving a market-acceptable balance of reliability and longevity that helped pave the way for quartz technology's mass adoption. The offered watch is from 1972 (year and week mark on the Motorola chipset) from the beginning of the production. The watch features an 18k heavy gold electroplated bezel paired with a stainless steel case back, all entirely original with no losses in the gold coverage. The golden textured dial with fine vertical lines is in perfect condition, complemented by well-maintained hands and a signed original crown. The mineral glass shows only minimal scratches, and the watch is in good working order. The brown leather strap is in fair condition but would benefit from restoration or replacement to maintain the watch’s wearable quality. The service history of this timepiece is unknown, so buyers should consider the possibility that a full service may be required to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Any duties or taxes associated with the purchase and import of the watch will be the responsibility of the buyer.
