The scene shows an archer aiming his bow within a dense woodland landscape, surrounded by the characteristic blue-green foliage and scrolling motifs typical of mid- to late-17th-century Flemish production, likely from Oudenaarde or Brussels. The piece shows age-related wear and historic repairs, with later backing added for support, H. 54.5 cm | W. 52 cm. In fair condition: various (old) restorations and traces of wear. Lining on the reverse to which the tapestry is attached, and the borders of later date.
