Seiko - Liner - Thin Dress - Textured Dial - Ingen mindstepris - J14069E - Mænd - 1960-1969
This Seiko Liner J14069E is an early thin dress model produced by Suwa Seikosha in the 1960s. During this period, Seiko operated two major factories that often competed in design and engineering. While Daini Seikosha introduced the ultra-thin Gold Feather, Suwa Seikosha answered with the Liner series. Both were positioned as high-grade dress watches, reflecting the internal rivalry that pushed Seiko’s technical development during the decade.
A defining characteristic of the Liner is its remarkably thin construction. The movement was based on the Marvel architecture and was carefully refined to achieve an impressively slim profile for its era. This advanced machining allowed Seiko to reduce thickness without compromising overall stability, placing the Liner among the most refined dress watches released by Suwa in the early 1960s.
This example features a stainless steel case measuring 34.5mm in diameter and only 9.5mm in thickness. The silver dial displays a fine concentric texture with gold-tone hands and markers, and is signed Diashock 21 Jewels. The crown winds the movement normally. The watch is fitted with a brand new leather strap (18mm), ready for immediate wear.
Running at the time of listing.
As a vintage watch, stable operation, accuracy, and water resistance are not guaranteed.
The watch will be carefully packed and shipped with tracking for safe delivery.
