Huge, authentic, ancient bead from East Java, Indonesia. Circa 6th-9th century AD, so at least 1200 years old! The bead is made of glass and is also called "Jatim." Pre-Majapahit, pre-Islamic. Made during the Hindu-Javanese period. Many of these beads have been found in East Java, during surface finds and excavations. They have also been found in megalithic stone tombs.
