Key features: Reference: 7548-7000 Production: September 1983 Movement: Original Seiko Cal. 7548A quartz – robust and accurate Dial: Original matte black dial in excellent condition, “WATER 150M RESIST” text perfectly intact Dial code: Correct “JAPAN 7548-xxxx S/T” at 6 o’clock – the “S” confirms final assembly at Seiko’s premium Suwa Seikosha factory Day/Date: Highly sought-after original Kanji–English day wheel (exclusive to JDM models) Case: 42 mm stainless steel with screw-down crown at 4 o’clock Case back: Sharp and deep “Tsunami” wave engraving Bezel: Bi-directional rotating bezel with original insert showing beautiful even patina Crystal: Original Seiko Hardlex mineral glass with only minor surface marks Bracelet: Stainless steel Jubilee-style with brushed fold-over clasp (light stretch typical for age) Condition: Running strongly and keeping excellent time. The watch displays honest, even wear befitting a 40+ year-old tool diver that has been enjoyed but well cared for. No deep scratches or damage, lume has aged to a warm creamy tone. All functions (time, quick-set date, bezel) operate perfectly. A superb, completely original and correct late-1983 JDM Seiko 7548-7000 with the desirable Kanji day wheel – a true collector favourite that is becoming increasingly difficult to source in this untouched condition.
