The Myōchin family has a long history as armor and metal artisans in Japan, and their iron wind chimes are highly regarded for their refined craftsmanship and clear, resonant sound. This piece features a minimalist iron construction that produces a calm and elegant tone when moved by the wind. The wind chime comes with its original signed wooden storage box labeled “Fuurin” (wind chime). The hanging paper tag includes traditional Japanese calligraphy written by Zen master Yamada Mumon Roshi. The inscription reads “Only pure wind is allowed to pass,” reflecting Zen philosophy and Japanese aesthetics. Condition: Good condition with natural signs of age. No major damage observed.
