During minting, the dies are subject to high dynamic loads, which sometimes causes damage in the form of cracks or even chips. The friction between the surfaces of the dies and the coin disc causes gradual wear of the dies. On the inscription EURO, the letter O is barely visible and damaged. The number 2 is distorted. Through the center of the coin runs 2 deep and wide groove in the form of a rectangle and 1 narrow gap at the top of the coin. On the lower edge of the coin, three holes after the punch was struck. The coin changed shape when the punch was struck under high pressure.
